The Little Giant Instrument Cart with Hand Guard features welded steel construction and ships ready for immediate use. Full pneumatic 9-inch casters provide an air-cushion ride well suited to rough floor surfaces, small obstructions, and outdoor applications. The pneumatic tires offer strong shock and vibration absorption, rolling over uneven surfaces and bumps more smoothly than hard wheels, though they require proper air pressure and can compress under heavy loads, increasing rolling resistance. For fragile loads crossing rough surfaces, that tradeoff is usually well worth it.

The top shelf sits at 34 inches high, with 19 inches of clearance between shelves. Shelves are available with non-slip vinyl or smooth steel surfaces, and shelf edges can be configured with a 1-1/2 inch retaining lip or flush edges. A durable powder-coated finish and 1,200 lb capacity round out the build.

Eleven configurations are available across three sizes, two edge styles, and two surface options.

Selection Guide:

♦ Shelf surface: non-slip vinyl or smooth steel; vinyl provides better grip for items that might slide, especially over uneven terrain. Smooth steel is easier to clean and better suited to quick load changes in shop or facility settings.

♦ Shelf edge, 1-1/2 inch retaining lip or flush: the retaining lip helps contain items during transport, while flush edges make it easier to slide cases and equipment on and off the cart.

♦ Size, from 24"x36" up to 30"x48", select based on the footprint of instruments or equipment being transported and the available floor and aisle space.

♦ Pneumatic caster tradeoffs: the 9-inch full pneumatic casters absorb shock and vibration far better than hard wheels, a real advantage on rough or outdoor surfaces, but they require proper inflation and can become harder to push under heavy loads as they compress.
